YETI LoadOut 30 GoBox

We have added the YETI LoadOut 30 GoBox to our equipment arsenal and we couldn’t be happier. Everyone recognizes YETI tumblers and coolers but the GoBox might not be on your radar.

We are outside exploring nearly every weekend. Our gear needs to be packable, durable and wilderness proof. Traditional storage bins were beat up and broken after only a few trips. We needed a long-term solution that could be rained on, snowed on, dropped, stacked and exposed to extreme heat and cold.

What we like:

  • Packability: The GoBox interior has been thoughtfully planned making use of every inch. The lid contains a gear bag which is removable and divided into three sections. The base is divided by a removable cutting board. A lift out tray adds an extra layer to keep items in their place.

  • Durability: We tested the claim that the GoBox was engineered to be exposed to the elements and repeatedly hauled by taking it on a cliffside campout in the rain. By accident we dropped it down a muddy cliffside when we lost our footing. Our gear inside stayed put, the lid stayed closed on impact, mud rinsed right off and it barely scratched. We left it outside in the rain overnight and the interior remained dry.

  • Wilderness proof: When closed it’s completely sealed and safe from unwanted animal or insect attention. Items like fuel and fire-starters are secure and dry.

How we pack it:

  • Lid Storage Bag: Plates, utensils, oyster shucker, napkins or microfiber cloth, knife, and bottle opener.

  • Lift Out Tray: Two YETI tumblers, sunscreen and snacks (nuts, breakfast bars, hot cocoa)

  • Base: MSR, fuel, fire starting supplies, extra cups, light source, s’mores skewers, medical kit, sanitizer, soap and toilet paper. (Sometimes a small hatchet and dehydrated meals if we are traveling light.)

Specs:

  • Capacity: 30 liters

  • Material(s): HDPE; thermoplastic elastomer; polyurethane webbing; ZYTEL nylon

  • Dimensions: 20.6 x 14.7 x 11.2 inches

  • Weight: 12 pounds

The YETI LoadOut 30 GoBox has become our go-to for day trips, camping and any outdoor adventure. We use it so much that it is a permanent fixture in our Jeep Renegade.
