Double Duty: Adventurous City Living

As adventurers, if we could live outdoors we would.  I’m sure you would too!

Right now our work keeps us living in the City but we find ways to keep our outdoor life alive.  We repurpose our camping gear for everyday use in our home. Lanterns become bedside lamps, camping chairs become balcony chairs and dishes do double duty.

A few of our items that do double duty are:

  • Lanterns = Bedside Lamps

  • Camping Chairs = Balcony Chairs

  • Blankets = Wool is great for camping and snuggling on the couch

  • Dishes = Outdoor and Indoor

  • Games = Raid your stash of games for something new each camping trip

Using our camping gear in our home also makes packing so much simpler.  We often joke that if our apartment looks empty when we leave then we packed successfully.

We also save on storage.  City apartments are often lacking in storage and renting a storage unit can be expensive.  By using our camping items we can create more space in our closets as well.

Keeping our camping gear as useful daily items around our home keeps our heart’s outdoors and ensures we’re always ready for the next adventure!
