Glamping at Pacific Dunes Resort

We’ve been dreaming of escaping to the Washington Coast, so when a glamping tent at The Pacific Dunes Resort became available on Airbnb we jumped at the chance. We have never tried “glamping” and we’re so happy we did!

The Pacific Dunes Resort is located in Copalis Beach, Washington and offers; glamping tents, a tiny house, bungalows, RV and tent camping spaces. The resort is not waterfront but the beach is within walking distance and you can hear waves crashing in the distance.

Our glamping tent was well appointed with a very comfortable king size bed. Since it’s January, we were worried about the cold but the blankets supplied were enough to keep us warm. Towels, water and a starter pack of firewood was all provided. Each glamping tent also has a small private outdoor area with a fire pit and picnic table.

Inside the tent were five windows, an overhead light, two bedside lamps, a table and two chairs and a small wood burning stove. We used the table and chairs to play our favorite board game and enjoy the heat of the fire.

The glamping tents were also quite spacious. Our tent was the smallest footprint and we had plenty of room to stretch out. The resort manager let us know that the larger tents can easily sleep four. Bring along a blow up mattress and let management know in your reservation that you would prefer the larger size.

Firewood was available for purchase on site and at several private locations alongside the road to the resort. With the colder temperatures we went through three bundles. If you’re not confident in your fire starting skills we would recommend bringing a fire starter or some newspaper along, just to get the initial fire started.

It rained throughout the evening but the tent remained completely dry and free from leaks inside. Between the crashing waves, falling rain and wood burning stove we slept extremely well.

Prior to our arrival, the resort manager sent out an extremely helpful text. We felt well prepared when we arrived. We could easily locate our tent and could reference the text if we had questions. Check in and check out were both contactless.

Our first glamping experience was a blast! If you like the feel of being outside but still need a bit of luxury a glamping tent could be the perfect solution for you. Here is a link to The Pacific Dunes Resort.
