The Vintages Trailer Resort

Every year we look forward to a trip to The Vintages Trailer Resort in Dayton, Oregon. We keep returning year after year for so many reasons but mainly because it's a blast!

Time stands still at The Vintages.  As you drive down Pinot Lane you are transported back to the mid-century when times were simpler.  Just for a moment it’s easy to believe that you’re on the set of I Love Lucy

Each vintage trailer has its own experience and theme. We try to stay in a different one each time we visit and so far we haven’t been disappointed. We’ve been lucky enough to stay in; the Airstream Bambi, the 1963 Silver Duchess and the 1951 M-System Special Deluxe.

Each trailer is equipped with two bikes and an outdoor grill. You can also choose from a variety of creative add on packages. Our favorites are the s'mores package: complete with a s’mores kit, wine and a little red campfire or the flock it to me package: a flock of flamingos placed on your trailer’s front lawn plus a champagne Shirley Temple kit.

Staff is first class. They’re extremely attentive and make sure that each guest's stay is special. If your trailer doesn’t have a shower or you aren’t too excited about using the one it has there’s a special shower house for all guests to use. There’s also a general store, pool, fireside and clubhouse. (Not all amenities are available during COVID.)

The Vintages is located in the heart of Oregon wine country.  Be sure to leave room in your car for all the wine you will be taking home with you! To the west of the resort is McMinnville which has plenty of tasting rooms and a McMenamins (yes there’s a secret bar). To the east of the resort is Dundee which offers upscale dining, vineyards and tasting rooms. Vineyards also dot the highway between the two towns. Our favorite stop is Siltstone, they offer my favorite pinot of all time.

We’ve noticed that the resort is also a convenient way to get all your friends together.  Everyone has their own trailer but everyone can still have fun and hang out together.

After sunset the lane lights up and if you had any doubt before now you’re sure that time stopped in the 1950’s.
